📝 Worksheet for this lesson

Grammar

1. 喜欢 + verb / noun

喜欢 “like” can take a noun (我喜欢茶) or a whole action (我喜欢喝茶). “Really like” — 很喜欢, “don’t like” — 不喜欢.

他很喜欢打球。
Tā hěn xǐhuan dǎ qiú.
He really likes playing ball.

2. 吧 — “let’s”

吧 at the end softens a suggestion or request: 我们走吧 “let’s go”, 你来吧 “come on over”. It also marks a guess: 你是老师吧? “you’re a teacher, right?”.

我们一起去吧!
Wǒmen yìqǐ qù ba!
Let’s go together!

3. How often: 常常, 有时候

Frequency words go before the verb: 我常常看书 “I often read”, 他有时候打球 “he sometimes plays ball”. 一起 “together” also goes before the verb.

我们常常一起吃饭。
Wǒmen chángcháng yìqǐ chīfàn.
We often eat together.
